Our Awana Fun Fair was held Wednesday night April 27th. What a great time we had! We like to end our year with a celebration to reward the kids for all their hard work. We had an obstacle course, bounce house, wax hands and lots of popcorn. Please be watching for updates on when we will start our Awana year 2011-2012. October 30, 2010 we had our Trunk or Treat. Aunt Gertie had such a great time with all the folks who came out. She loves to talk to the kids and invite them to church. This is a great time to meet people in our hometown that we might not other wise cross paths with. It’s how we become the hands and feet of Jesus. Talk to your neighbors as well as those around the world about our Lord Jesus Christ!

As promised Pastor Mike rode the camel on Wednesday night.  To make it a more complete evening Mrs. Karen decided to join him on his camel stroll.  All the Awana kids have been working hard to memorize their bible verses in order for this ride to take place.  We have kicked off our missions efforts this year with the Gospel for Asia campaign.  With every bible verse memorized by the Awana Club they will receive a paper dollar to be matched at the end of the campaign.  This money will be used to purchase animals in the country of Asia.  If you would like to join us for more fun as we continue the Awana year, come by and see us on Wednesday!  God has alot in-store for the “Kids on the Hill!”
