Are you new to the Bentonville area and have children?  Bethel Baptist Church is the place for you on Wednesday nights!  Along with our adult Bible study at 7 we have our youth group at 6:30, and AWANA Club at 6:30.  AWANA is our children’s program on Wednesday nights for ages kindergarten through 6th grade.  On club nights we focus on God’s word.  We start with book time.  During this time we read a memorize Bible verses.  The next session we have is our devotional time.  We utilize this part of the evening to share the many inspirational and true stories right out of the Bible.  These lessons are taught on an age level basis so every one who is present will clearly understand the teachings of the Bible and the plan of salvation.  We also allow time for the kids to ask questions that they might have about our lesson that evening or any question they might have about their salvation.  Where our kids spend their eternity is of the utmost importance to us!

 Our Awana Fun Fair was held Wednesday night April 27th. What a great time we had! We like to end our year with a celebration to reward the kids for all their hard work. We had an obstacle course, bounce house, wax hands and lots of popcorn. Please be watching for updates on when we will start our Awana year 2011-2012. October 30, 2010 we had our Trunk or Treat. Aunt Gertie had such a great time with all the folks who came out. She loves to talk to the kids and invite them to church. This is a great time to meet people in our hometown that we might not other wise cross paths with. It’s how we become the hands and feet of Jesus. Talk to your neighbors as well as those around the world about our Lord Jesus Christ!

As promised Pastor Mike rode the camel on Wednesday night.  To make it a more complete evening Mrs. Karen decided to join him on his camel stroll.  All the Awana kids have been working hard to memorize their bible verses in order for this ride to take place.  We have kicked off our missions efforts this year with the Gospel for Asia campaign.  With every bible verse memorized by the Awana Club they will receive a paper dollar to be matched at the end of the campaign.  This money will be used to purchase animals in the country of Asia.  If you would like to join us for more fun as we continue the Awana year, come by and see us on Wednesday!  God has alot in-store for the “Kids on the Hill!”
